Caps with a seal or sealing
A cap with a seal is a cap with an insert integrated into the cap. There are different types of inserts:
- IHS insert: Induction Heat Seal
- PS insert: Pressure Sensitive
- EPE insert: Extruded Polyethylene foam
- ...
Caps with an Induction Heat Seal (IHS) insert are specially designed to show that a bottle has not been opened. The caps have a self-adhesive layer on the inside. When the cap comes into contact with an induction field, the aluminum or foil layer is heated and melts onto the cap opening, giving the packaging an extra layer of protection when the cap is removed.
Induction seal caps can be applied using a sealing machine.
Auto joint or cone caps
Autojointant caps, also known as linerless, conical, or cone caps, are a simple way to seal bottles. The caps are designed with a conical sealing lip or sealing skirt inside the cap. This feature allows the cap to seal itself without the need for additional components, such as liners. This also means that only one raw material is needed for the production of the caps.
Caps with venting
Caps with venting allow air to regulate the pressure in the packaging. This is important because pressure differences can damage the contents of the packaging, such as leakage or deformation.

Caps with a seal provide extra protection for your product. You can immediately see whether the bottle has been opened or not. When the bottle is opened, the tamper-evident ring remains attached to the neck of the bottle.
Child-resistant caps
These child-proof caps have been specifically tested to ensure that children cannot open them. They usually require a “push-turn” technique to open.
